Terms of Use

Last updated 11 September 2026

We generate travel suggestions, they can be wrong, and you should check anything you plan to rely on.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Tripvio website and the trip-planning services offered through it (together, the "Services"), operated by Tripvio ("we", "us"). By using the Services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Services.

You may use the Services only if you are able to form a binding contract with us under the law that applies to you, and only for lawful purposes.

2. What the Services are — and are not

Tripvio generates suggested travel itineraries using artificial intelligence, combined with a catalog of places maintained by us and data supplied by third parties. The output is a suggestion for you to evaluate, not professional travel advice, and not a booking.

We are not a travel agent or tour operator, and we do not sell accommodation, tours, or tickets. Most booking links on Tripvio are ordinary outbound links to a partner's own site: we are not a party to anything you book there, and that partner's own terms govern it.

There is one exception. Where we offer it, you can reserve a flight without leaving Tripvio. When you do, we pass your passenger details to our flight partner, who makes the reservation with the airline and holds it. The contract of carriage is between you and the airline, on the airline's own conditions, and the reservation is held on our partner's systems — not ours. We take no payment for it. A reservation of this kind is normally held only for a limited time and lapses if it is not paid for and ticketed by the deadline the airline sets; we show you that deadline when we have it, but we do not guarantee it, and we are not responsible for a reservation that expires.

Deleting a trip on Tripvio does not cancel a flight reservation made through it. To change or cancel one, contact the airline or our flight partner.

3. AI-generated content and accuracy

Itineraries are produced by automated systems and can be wrong. A suggested place may have closed, moved, changed its hours or prices, or — in the case of destinations outside our curated catalog — may be described inaccurately or may not exist as described.

Travel times and distances between stops are calculated using third-party routing data and are estimates only. They do not account for traffic on the day, road closures, weather, or the mode of transport you actually take. Where we cannot calculate a route, we show no estimate rather than a guess.

You are responsible for independently verifying anything you rely on — opening hours, prices, accessibility, safety conditions, and whether a place exists and is open to visitors — before you travel or spend money.

4. Bookings and third-party suppliers

Where we display a booking link, it takes you to a third party's website. Any booking is a contract between you and that supplier, governed by that supplier's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing, cancellation policies, or performance.

We may receive a commission when you book through one of these links. This does not change the price you pay. The presence or absence of a booking link is not a recommendation, an endorsement, or a statement about quality — some categories of place simply have no partner inventory, and we would rather show nothing than send you somewhere unrelated.

Prices and promotional terms shown alongside a booking link are supplied by the relevant partner and may be out of date. The price shown at the point of booking on the supplier's own site is the one that applies.

5. Accounts

Much of the Services can be used without an account. If you create one — with an email address and password, or by signing in through a third-party identity provider — you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for keeping your credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You must not create an account for anyone else without their authorisation, or use an account to impersonate another person.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, or where we are required to do so by law.

6. Shared trips

A saved trip has a URL that works for anyone who has it, whether or not they have an account. This is deliberate, so that you can share a plan easily. It also means anyone you send that link to — or anyone they forward it to — can view and modify that trip. Do not put information in a trip that you would not want a recipient to see or change.

7. Acceptable use

When using the Services, you must not:

  • use them for any unlawful purpose, or to plan or facilitate unlawful activity;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services, other users' data, or any connected system;
  • scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Services, or use automated means to place unreasonable load on them;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code or underlying models of the Services, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
  • resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Services or their output without our written permission;
  • submit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that contains malicious code;
  • misrepresent your affiliation with us, or remove or obscure any proprietary notice.

8. Intellectual property

The Services, including their design, text, graphics, and software, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for your own travel planning.

Place data, photographs, ratings, and map imagery are supplied by third parties and remain the property of their respective owners, subject to those parties' own terms and attribution requirements.

You may use the itineraries you generate for your own personal travel purposes, including sharing them with people you are travelling with.

9. Feedback

If you send us suggestions or feedback about the Services, you agree we may use them without restriction or obligation to you. We will not treat feedback as confidential unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

10. Third-party services and links

The Services rely on third-party providers, including mapping and routing services, place-information providers, and AI model providers. Their availability and accuracy are outside our control, and interruptions to them may interrupt the Services.

Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for their content or practices.

11. Travel risk

You are solely responsible for your travel decisions. This includes passports, visas, permits, vaccinations, insurance, local laws and customs, and assessing whether a destination or activity is safe and suitable for you.

Activities suggested in an itinerary may carry inherent risks, including physical ones such as hiking, climbing, caving, or travel by boat. We do not assess your fitness, experience, or the conditions on the day. Consult official government travel advice for your destination before you go.

12. Availability

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or that any itinerary will meet your requirements. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, conditions, and terms implied by statute or common law in relation to the Services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, or opportunity, or for any wasted travel, accommodation, or booking costs, arising out of your use of the Services or your reliance on an itinerary.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

15. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our privacy policy. Please read it — it forms part of your agreement with us.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date shown at the top of this page. Material changes will be brought to your attention where reasonably practicable. Continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

18. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent. These Terms are the entire agreement between us regarding the Services.

19. Contact
